How our mediation services help:

Avoid costly litigation

For most disputes, mediation is a much more cost-effective solution than court proceedings. It avoids the high costs associated with court such as lawyer fees for drafting lengthy documents and court appearances, as well as court fees. Parties can share the mediator’s fee, making it an affordable option.

Take control over your dispute

Mediation allows parties to a dispute to have a say in the outcome of their dispute, rather than relying on the court to make a decision. While a successful mediation generally involves some compromise, we work with the parties to facilitate meaningful discussions about every possible solution. Even if a final agreement is not able to be reached, it can still be beneficial to have these discussions and narrow the issues, or resolve matters on an interim basis.

Save time and stress

Mediation can resolve disputes more quickly than the court process, which often involves lengthy wait times for court dates. Mediation can be scheduled at the convenience of the parties, leading to faster resolutions. More importantly, many people underestimate the emotional cost of protracted litigation. Uncertainty about the outcome, delayed timelines, and ongoing conflict all contribute to the stress factor.

- Sabrina Korva

I became a mediator because I’ve seen the toll that conflict takes on people — not just in court, but in their lives.

As a family lawyer, I’ve watched people get caught in drawn-out legal battles that leave them exhausted, emotionally drained, and sometimes financially worse off than when they started. I knew there had to be a better way.

At the end of the day, mediation isn’t just about legal outcomes—it’s about helping people rebuild, heal, and make decisions that truly serve them. That’s why I do this work, and it’s why I’m committed to helping people find their way through the most challenging situations.

how it works

01

submit enquiry

Send us a booking enquiry for your preferred date. We will receive the preliminary information you provide on the form. Remember, this process is entirely confidential.

02

confirmation

We will contact you to confirm your mediation, and we may need to ask you more about your dispute. We can also send the other party a formal invitation to mediate.

03

intake appointment

For Family Dispute Resolution (“FDR”), we will book the parties in for an intake appointment, to give us a better understanding about the family circumstances and the children’s needs. An intake is always required for FDR.

04

resolution

On the day of mediation, we help the parties discuss and narrow the issues in dispute, and facilitate discussions about workable outcomes with the ultimate goal of a resolution that works for everyone.
